Participate in 1864 days

Medal for participation

Medalje for delatgelse

The redoubt has been put in full defensive mode, the bridge is withdrawn, and the guns are loaded. We are repeating last year’s success and holding 1864 days at the Dybbøl Banke History Centre with both a soldier’s camp, a home front and battle demonstrations. The event will be held, as usual, on the last weekend in June, 23 – 25 June 2023. We hope you would like to participate and help us promote this important part of Europe’s history. We meet on Friday evening, greet each other, and celebrate Midsummer Eve. The history centre and the soldiers’ camp are open all Saturday and Sunday. As the soldiers’ camp is on the history centre’s own grounds, you are welcome to stay a few days after the event.

If you bring a weapon (including swords and bayonets), the Danish police need a formal and weapon-related document or permit issued by a shooting association or police authority. Foreign participants who bring weapons must bring a criminal record or firearms passport, which is a maximum of 6 months old. Everything regarding permits and registration for the event can be done via our website www.1864dage.dk.

Registration no later than 1 April 2023, due to the police permits.
